The precedents of Scripture Worship Image

Catholics are often accused of "worship" to certain people and objects when in fact, the only thing these people do is worship and sacred objects. To make things clear, Catholics do not worship anyone or anything, but to worship only God. Without But worship pictures of Jesus, the Blessed Virgin Mary, the angels, crowned saints in heaven and other sacred objects or sacramental.

The Ark of the Covenant was built with earth materials, however, was sacred. God asked Moses to make two winged creatures (Cherubs or angels) to be kept in the Ark, where he lived:

"And thou shalt make two cherubim of gold hammer

figures of cherubim and palm trees and flowers open in
exterior and interior rooms ... "(1 Kings 6:23-33)

"In the panels were established in the frameworks (recorded
images) lions, oxen and cherubim. "(1 Kings 7:29)

The Ark (the abode of God) was built with earth materials, however, was sacred and demanded respect for:

1. The family of Obed-edom was blessed by the presence of the Ark (2 Samuel 6:10-12).
2. Uzza stumbled into the Ark and died (2 Samuel 6:6-8).
3. David was delighted with all forces in honor of the presence of the Ark (2 Samuel 6:12-19).
4. Seventy residents of the city of Bet Shemesh died because they dared to look inside the Ark (1 Samuel 6:19).
5. The gods of the Philistines worshiped God in the Ark (1 Samuel 5:1-5).

Here are some pertinent questions for those who accuse Catholics of "worship" images:

1. When the people of Israel showed respect for the Ark, who worship the graven images of two cherubim (angels) inside the wooden ark itself or God, who lived in it?
2. Who killed seventy people Bethshemesh who dared to look inside the Ark - the two cherubim or God?
3. Who or what were the gods of the Philistines worshiped in the Ark - the two cherubim or God?

away from your body to the sick, and diseases left them

Moses performed many miracles with his "sacred" rod after that God himself has changed from a rod to a serpent and back to a rod (Exodus 4:2-5):

"You have in your hand this rod, with which is
make the signs (miracles). "(Exodus 4:17)

mantle of Elijah was sacred and was also used to perform a miracle:

"Then he (Elisha) took the mantle of Elijah that had fallen
him, and struck the water (Jordan River), ...
water is distributed to one side and the other, and
Elisha went over. "(2 Kings 2:14)

The garment that Jesus wore made and sewn with materials Earth, however, was sacred to the energy flowed out of it (Matthew 9:20-22, Mark 5:27-29, Luke 8:43-44).

bones as holy relics of saints, like Elisha, and sacred objects such as medals of saints and images, statues, scapulae, crucifixes, rosaries, etc., must be venerated. The Bible sanctions. Always make sure a priest blesses his sacramental before you start using it.
